Designated on December 1st of every year, World AIDS Day is a day dedicated to increasing awareness of HIV/AIDS issues worldwide as we support the UNAIDS visionary goal to end the AIDS epidemic by 2020. We have several fundraising events throughout the year that create a sense of camaraderie and togetherness among our community because we partner with local businesses, organizations, our families, friends and neighbours. Our World AIDS Day Gala reminds us that we are part of a much, much larger community that spans across entire continents and extends beyond the sea. It reminds us that we are working towards a global goal that can only be achieved by a united effort among millions of individuals.
Among the distinguished guests, board members, staff, donors and volunteers, our World AIDS Day Gala features stories of first-hand accounts of the strides we are making in achieving our goal. It is an evening of live entertainment, incredible food and beverages, auctions, videos and updates from the orphans and families affected by HIV & AIDS in Lesotho, Africa.
