OHAfrica

Launched on World AIDS Day 2004, OHAfrica works to fight the spread of AIDS in Africa and provide people living with HIV/AIDS affordable treatment. The OHAfrica team of Canadian health care professionals supports local health care providers at the first public HIV/AIDS treatment centre in Lesotho, the Tšepong "Place of Hope" Clinic.

OHAfrica works together with the Government of Lesotho in the delivery of its National HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan to implement an antiretroviral drug therapy program for people living with HIV/AIDS. OHAfrica trains local health care providers at a regional and community level to support the integration of HIV/AIDS testing and treatment into local health care systems.
