Support Bracelet of Hope: with products from Inina Craft Agency
The Inina Craft Agency is the producer of the Bracelet of Hope, and produce a diverse and creative craft product range.

Started initially by a Canadian nurse working at the Tsepong AIDS Clinic, GRO is now a fully Basotho organisation. It has a number of mandates, a key one being to support those infected and affected by HIV. One of its most successful projects is a women’s beading collective that now sells jewellery internationally. All of the women in the collective are HIV-positive and many of them have children to support. Proceeds from the jewellery sales go to the individuals making the jewellery as well as to a collectively-managed health fund which the members of the collective use as needed. Bracelet of Hope has started to buy jewellery from this collective and will be selling it in Canada to raise funds for the work of fighting AIDS in Lesotho.
With 122,000 children in Lesotho who have lost one or both parents to AIDS, grandmothers end up doing most of the work caring for AIDS orphans. Often the grandmothers are poor themselves and have few resources to look after young children. GRO is working with several grandmothers’ groups to set up piggeries or poultry projects so that the grandmothers can earn enough to be able to support their grandchildren. $5,000 is needed for the training and start up costs of a small piggery; $3,000 is needed for a poultry business.

The Inina Craft Agency is made up of almost 150 women producers lead by a highly skilled and well-equipped management team. They communicate using Skype, allocate production tasks using SMS, host endless government delegations and, through it all, maintain a wonderful sense of grace and humour.
